What is covered in this GPSR onboarding video?
In this video, we walk you through the main steps for getting started with the EAS GPSR service and completing your GPSR onboarding.
GPSR stands for General Product Safety Regulation. It is an EU regulation designed to make sure that products sold in the EU are safe and meet the required product safety standards. If you sell products into the EU, GPSR compliance is an important part of making sure your products can continue to be sold correctly.
The onboarding process with EAS is designed to be simple. After you register for the GPSR service, EAS reviews your product types and sends you an offer. Once the offer has been accepted, the onboarding process begins and you will receive clear instructions on how to complete the required steps.
1. Signing the agreement with EAS
The first step is to sign the agreement between your company and EAS.
After the agreement has been signed, the next steps are completed through your EAS dashboard.

2. Paying your invoice
In the EAS dashboard, you can go to the Invoices section to view and pay your invoice.
You can choose to:
- pay by card, or
- download the PDF invoice and pay by bank transfer
Once the invoice has been settled, you can continue to the GPSR section of the dashboard.
3. Reviewing your product types
In the GPSR section of the dashboard, you will see the product types connected to your company.
When you open a product type, you can view the applicable regulations and the product type description that has been added by EAS.
4. Adding your SKUs
The next step is to add your product SKUs.
You can do this by clicking Add New SKU in the dashboard. If you already have a list of SKUs, you can copy and paste them directly into the system.
After clicking Send, the SKUs are added to your GPSR dashboard.
If you add new products later, you can update the SKU list. The declaration will then update automatically.
5. Generating your declaration
After your SKUs have been added, you can generate and download your declaration.
When generating the declaration, you can add testing information if it is available for the product type. If testing information is not applicable, you can select Not Applicable and continue.
The declaration is then generated and downloaded from the dashboard.
6. Signing and uploading the declaration
Once the declaration has been downloaded, it needs to be signed.
After signing the declaration, upload it back to the dashboard using the Upload signed declaration section.
Your signed declarations will then be stored safely in the dashboard. If you need them later, you can download them again at any time.
7. Using the Help Center instructions
The EAS Help Center includes step-by-step articles that explain how to complete the GPSR dashboard process.
You can use these articles to check that you have completed all required steps correctly.
The Help Center also includes marketplace-specific instructions for platforms such as:
- Amazon
- eBay
- Etsy
These guides explain how to add the required GPSR information to your sales channels.
8. Adding GPSR information to your labels and shipments
After the dashboard steps are complete, the next important part is labeling.
There are two main pieces of information that need to be included:
- Your company details as the manufacturer
- EAS details as your EU Authorised Representative
In this context, “manufacturer” means the company responsible for the product’s compliance.
This information should be added both to your website and to shipments sent to the EU.
For your website, we recommend adding the information to the footer so it is easy for visitors to find.
For shipments, the information can be added in one of the following ways:
- directly on the product
- on a sticker outside the package
- on a sheet of paper placed inside the package
You can choose the option that works best for your workflow.
9. Adding GPSR information to marketplaces
If you sell through marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, or Etsy, you also need to add your GPSR compliance information there.
EAS provides detailed step-by-step instructions for adding this information correctly to your sales channels.
10. Updating products later
If you add new products later, you can update your SKU list in the dashboard. Your declaration will update automatically.
If you start selling a product that belongs to a new product type, or if you are unsure which product type it belongs to, contact the EAS team. We will guide you through the next steps.
