EAS can file your UK VAT report but we cannot make payments to HMRC on your behalf.
Here is the link to HMRC page explaining the payment process :https://www.gov.uk/pay-vat/pay-using-another-payment-method.
Payments can be made by a bank transfer or a credit card. Payments are to be made in GBP only. If payments are done by a bank transfer then the following bank details must be used:
- Sort code - 08 32 00
- Account number - 11963155
- Account name - HMRC VAT
It can be expensive to make bank transfers from your national currency bank accounts outside of Europe. Always check the costs of bank transfers in GBP before making payments. Some banks, usually due to correspondence banks' charges, apply additional charges and the sum received in the UK may be less than the one one owed to HMRC.
If the due sum is small, less than 150 GBP, it makes sense to use a credit card. HMRC only charges 0,1% credit card handling fee. Do check if your credit card is accepted here: https://www.gov.uk/pay-tax-debit-credit-card
Another option is to have an account with any of the payment providers or online banks such as Revolut, Wise, Airwallex, etc. You can open a multi-currency account with them for free, and you can then transfer your national currency there as if the transfer is domestic. Money transfers are typically quite cost-efficient inexpensive payments to the UK.
Availability of accounts in such institutions varies from county to country.
You can also use your multi-currency accounts in these institutions for making payments to cover your EAS invoices in EUR as well.
