EAS GPSR Compliance Service

The EAS GPSR Compliance Service simplifies your journey to meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).

What is GPSR?

The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) is an EU-wide regulation in force since 13 December 2024. It requires all consumer products sold in the EU to meet safety and labelling requirements.

Failure to comply with GPSR can result in:

• Product delisting from marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay.
• Fines, penalties or even a ban on goods entering the EU.

Who needs to comply?

• Manufacturers: primarily responsible for ensuring GPSR compliance.
• Non-EU manufacturers: must appoint an EU Authorised Representative.
• Sellers: if the manufacturer does not comply, the responsibility falls to you.

GPSR requires products to include:

• Manufacturer details.
• EU Authorised Representative details.
• Safety warnings, if applicable.
• Product-specific information, such as materials and usage instructions, in the local language(s) of the sales market.

What is included in the EAS GPSR service?

1. EU Authorised Representative services
   • We act as your EU Authorised Representative across all EU Member States and all your sales channels, and you can use our name and address on your website, products, packaging and marketplace listings.
2. Documentation
   • A Declaration of Conformity generated in the EAS Dashboard, ready for your digital signature, and a technical file template with a risk assessment section on request.
3. Guidance for online platforms
   • Labelling guidance and step-by-step instructions for adding GPSR information to your own website and to platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Fruugo.
4. Personal support
   • Help in identifying your product types, a review of your labelling information where needed, and instructions on organising and uploading your safety documentation in the EAS Dashboard.
5. EU contact point
   • We act as your EU contact point, including communication with market surveillance authorities, and keep you informed as regulations evolve.

The service does not include laboratory testing, conformity assessment or a full audit of your technical documentation.

GPSR pricing

GPSR is an annual fee based only on the number of product types. There are no setup fees, registration fees, deposits or per-SKU charges.

• GPSR 1: €199/year, covers 1 product type.
• GPSR 2: €349/year, covers 2 product types. Additional product types €149/year each.
• GPSR 6: €690/year, covers 6 product types. Additional product types €129/year each.
• GPSR 16: €1,790/year, covers 16 product types. Additional product types €119/year each.

We always offer the most cost-effective plan for your range. For example:

• 3 product types: GPSR 2 plus one additional type, €498/year.
• 4 product types: GPSR 2 plus two additional types, €647/year.
• 5 or 6 product types: GPSR 6, €690/year.
• 7 product types: GPSR 6 plus one additional type, €819/year.

If your business is established outside the EU, no EU VAT is added to the invoice.

Extended GPSR Support Package (optional): for faster support and priority handling, an optional package is available for €199/month. It includes a dedicated high-priority email, priority ticket handling, faster support access and exclusive booking links. Contact us to add it.

What is a product type?
A product type is a group of products that share the same materials, intended use and safety requirements, regardless of variations in size, design, colour or style. The price is not based on the number of SKUs, styles or listings. Examples of logical grouping:

• Cotton T-shirts, hoodies and trousers: one product type (cotton apparel).
• Wooden picture frames and candle holders: one product type (wooden home decor).
• Leather wallets and handbags: one product type (leather accessories).

Some products are not grouped with others: children's products, because of stricter safety requirements; electronics, which are kept separate from non-electronic goods; and candles and home fragrances, because of specific fire and chemical safety risks.

Our GPSR team makes the final product type determination during onboarding, based on materials, intended use and safety requirements, and confirms it with you before you commit.

Contract term: the service runs for one year and renews automatically. We send you a reminder about one month before renewal, and there are no cancellation fees. See How to cancel your EAS GPSR service.

How it works

1. Registration
   • Register your business at easproject.com/reg and send your product list with the registration. Registering is commitment-free and does not activate any paid service.
   • Sole traders and registered companies are both welcome. You provide your details, a valid ID and your business registration document, if you have one.
2. Catalogue review and offer
   • We review your catalogue, identify your product types and send you an exact quote before any commitment.
3. Setup
   • Setup is complete 1 to 2 business days after the offer is accepted and payment is processed. We provide the exact Authorised Representative details to show on your products and listings.
4. Documentation
   • You generate and sign your Declaration of Conformity in the EAS Dashboard and upload your supporting safety documentation.
5. Implementation
   • We guide you through adding the GPSR information to your website and sales channels such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Fruugo.
