Quick price adjustment for WooCommerce stores

This guidance provides step by step instruction for quick price adjustment

There may be situations where you need to quickly update product prices in your Shopify store. One common scenario is when new tariffs or taxes are introduced by authorities in a destination country. In such cases, the simplest and most efficient way to handle this is by applying a positive price adjustment to affected products.

How to Apply a Price Adjustment in WooCommerce:

  1. Navigate to Settings in your WooCommerce Admin.
  2. Select Tax folder from the top menu.
  3. Open "Standard rates" group (the name of the tax group may vary).

Apply the Price Increase:

  • Create a new tax line for the destination country by pressing “Insert row” button and adding the destination country code
  • Input the adjustment rate and press “Save changes”

Repeat actions for all active tax groups

Example of a Price Adjustment:

If a product was previously priced at 25 EUR , and after applying a price increase it now costs 33.5 EUR this reflects the updated pricing that includes the impact of the new tariffs or taxes.
