Adding VAT rates in Wix is optional step for configuring Wix store but is preferable to being able to sell cross-border in compliance.

If your product prices in the catalogue are VAT inclusive you might to skip VAT rates configuration. EAS solution will extract taxes during order processing and your tax liability will be kept properly
This article describes how to add EU VAT rates to the Wix store from the scratch.
1. Login to your WixStudio page.
2. Choose your store site from the upper menu
3. Navigate to Settings → Tax
4. Chose how to calculate taxes for the products by selecting proper option. Option "Tax should be added at checkout" presumes that prices in the inventory section are entered net of VAT , you customer would see prices on the store front without taxes and VAT will be added only at checkout. Option "Tax is already included in my prices" presumes that prices in the inventory section are entered with VAT and you customer would see prices on the store front already with taxes (i.e. it is the final price) and VAT will be shown in the checkout as a separate line calculated inclusively from the inventory prices.
5.For each EU country ones to add VAT rates from the attached file Standard VAT rates for EU countries actual as of 1 August 2025.
5.1 Press "+ Add Location" button, in the popup window select country and press "Add"
5.2 Set VAT rates at least for Products and "Shipping and delivery".
Do not set VAT rate for the Gift cards.
If you have different product type you need to set VAT rates for each product in the window.
5.3 press "Save" button
5.4 Repeat steps 5.1 - 5.3 for each EU country and the UK (if you sell to that country).
5.5 Setting reduced VAT rates.
You can set up reduced rates if any of your goods attract reduced rates. In the EU it is food , books and in some instances children items are levied reduced VAt rates.
Create a new tax group:
Add products that are subject to the reduced rates:
Revisit all EU tax locations and set the reduced rates where necessary. It may be that in some EU countries your products are charged with reduced rate (and then reduced rate should be entered) while in other countries standard rate should be applied. For example for books in all EU countries apart from Denmark reduced VAT rates are to be entered. For Denmark 25 percent VAT rate should be input. Never leave the reduced rate tax group entry empty for any of the EU countries - either reduced or standard rate should be entered :
Make sure that you check settings for all EU countries.
