This article explains how to add GPSR information to Shopify, WooCommerce and other eCommerce platforms
To comply with the EU’s General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), certain product and company information must be made publicly available to EU consumers. If you're selling to the EU via your Shopify store, here’s how to stay compliant with minimal effort.
1. Add Authorised Representative and Safety Information to Your Website
Under GPSR, your EU Authorised Representative’s details must be accessible to consumers.
Our Recommendation:
Create a dedicated page called “GPSR” or “Safety Information” and link to it from your website footer. You may also add the details to your FAQ, but dedicated page is highly recommended.
This ensures the information is easy to find from any page on your site.
What to Include on the GPSR Page:
We suggest the following text as a template:
Compliance with EU Safety Regulations
We take the safety of our customers seriously and are proud to meet the highest standards required by EU law. As a responsible brand selling to European consumers, we ensure that every product we offer is supported by transparent safety documentation and clear communication. Our commitment to GPSR compliance reflects our broader dedication to quality, accountability, and consumer trust.
As required under GPSR, we have appointed an Authorised Representative in the EU:
Easy Access System Europe OÜ
Mustamäe tee 50, 10621 Tallinn, Estonia

2. Add Safety Warnings on Product Pages
If any of your products require serious safety warnings (e.g. choking hazards, flammability notices, age restrictions), these must be clearly visible on each product page.
Where to add warnings:
-
Include a "Safety Notice" or "Warnings" section in the product description.
Example Warning Text:
Safety Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts. Choking hazard.
Use clear and specific language that matches the nature of the product and potential risks. If you’re unsure whether a product requires a safety warning, consult your safety documentation or contact your onboarding specialist.
