How to add GPSR data to Amazon

Guide on how to handle Amazon and GPSR

Step 1: Prepare Required GPSR Documentation

Before you begin, ensure you have the following information and documents ready for each product type:

  1. Manufacturer details: Company name, address, and contact information.
  2. EU Authorised Representative details: Company name, address, and contact information (EAS information provided to you).
  3. Declaration of Conformity (DoC): A signed document verifying the product complies with EU safety requirements, translated into the language of the sales market.
  4. Labelling information: Safety warnings, size details, or care instructions, if applicable, in the sales market language.

Step 2: Log into Amazon Seller Central

  1. Navigate to Seller Central at Amazon Seller Central Login.
  2. Select the marketplace (EU country) where you sell products.

Step 3: Locate Product Listings

  1. Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory.
  2. Find the product(s) you want to update.
  3. Click on Edit next to the product listing.

Step 4: Add Compliance Information

  1. Navigate to the Compliance Tab (or a similar section, depending on your category).
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Manufacturer Information: Enter the company name, address, and contact details.
    • EU Authorised Representative Information: Provide the name, address, and contact information of your GPSR representative (e.g., EAS).
    • Safety Documentation: Upload the Declaration of Conformity (DoC) in the language of the sales market.
    • Labelling Information: Add any required safety warnings or care instructions.

Step 5: Save and Batch Upload (if applicable)

  1. If updating multiple products, prepare a flat file template provided by Amazon for bulk uploads.
  2. Include compliance data for all applicable products in the spreadsheet.
  3. Upload the file through the Inventory Loader Tool or similar feature in Seller Central.

Step 6: Verify Updates

  1. After saving, revisit the product page to confirm that the compliance details appear as intended.
  2. Double-check that uploaded files, such as the Declaration of Conformity, are correctly attached.

Step 7: Monitor Product Status

  1. Regularly check your listings to ensure they remain active and compliant.
  2. If Amazon flags a listing, review the error notification and update the compliance information promptly.
